14th Annual Technical Update Workshop

The 14th Annual Technical Update Workshops were held at Lawson State Community College, Bessemer Campus, on February 12-13 and at the IBEW Training Facility in Birmingham on February 19-20 and February 26-27, 2009. These workshops included Automotive Technology, Collision Repair, Construction, Drafting, Electronics, Electrical, Masonry, and Welding. Over 170 secondary and postsecondary instructors and apprentice trainers attended the workshops.

Technical updates allow instructors to stay on top of what's happening in business and industry. This was the first year for the Drafting workshop. We received great feedback on all workshops and feel all eight workshops were a success. The Resource Center looks forward to seeing everyone back again next year.
