Workshops and Technical Updates
About RCT WorkshopsThe Resource Center for Technology has many years of experience in helping educators to meet their goals of improved instruction, update skill training, and classroom management. For fourteen years, we have conducted the annual Update Skills Training Seminar. This two-day hands-on workshop brings secondary and postsecondary instructors together, along with apprentice trainers, to learn the latest techniques in their field. This workshop began as an update for welding instructors and grew to include instructors in automotive, collision repair, electricity, electronics, construction, masonry, and drafting. The Resource Center offers professional development and technical updates for instructors, new teacher training, informative industry-led workshops, and more. In the past, we have worked closely with industry to provide workshops in Computer-Assisted Drafting, Programmable Logic Controllers, Welding, Auto Body Painting Techniques, Cosmetology updates, Computer-Assisted Lesson Plan Delivery, and more. These professional development activities are designed to bring secondary instructors, postsecondary instructors, and industry personnel together to benefit from a sharing of knowledge and techniques.
